"Sensory Overload" is an experimental piece I wanted to try out for a while, where I would mix a ton of different art styles/rendering styles in a single drawing to see how it would turn out. Since I was studying anatomy at the time of drawing this (as well as it being October with Halloween coming right up), I figured a skeleton would fit nicely. I sketched out the pose, figured I would prefer it with an open mouth, then produced a cleaner lineart that would be easier to follow and see through when rendering the final iteration. I then planned out all the styles I wanted to cover (realistic painterly bones, junji ito's uzumaki cover, cartoony, pixel art, realistic shiny metal, abstract grotesque paint, and then finally, my own style for the jaw). This was a lot of fun to work on and spiked my interest in trying these art styles in the future.
This piece was developed over the course of a week, finished on 20.10.2024.
